At K9 Magic, our board and train program offers a unique, immersive training experience where your dog becomes part of our daily life—staying in our home, not a kennel. This personalized approach ensures your dog receives consistent, structured guidance in a real-world environment while being treated like family.

🏡 Home-Based Immersive Training

Your dog will live in our home for an extended stay, experiencing full-time care, supervision, and hands-on training. They'll be exposed daily to a variety of stimuli including other dogs, children, and even cats—making this a well-rounded environment for socialization and house manners.

Crate time is scheduled during meals, overnight, and if we step out for a short period (your dog will never be left alone for more than 2 hours, aside from sleeping at night).

📦 What to Pack

Please provide:

Enough dog food for the full duration of your dog’s stay. If supplies run low, we offer pickup, drop-off, and delivery options.
Any medications your dog needs (e.g., flea & tick prevention, eye or ear drops).
Optional: Blankets, crates, beds, and leashes – we’re happy to use your dog’s familiar items but will provide all necessities if not.

🏠 Post-Training Support

Depending on the package you choose, your program includes a number of in-home sessions after your dog returns, ensuring a smooth transition and empowering you with the tools to maintain and build upon their progress.

50/50 split: half at booking, half midway through training

During your dog's stay, you can choose to add Grooming & Handling Exposure to help your dog become more comfortable with everyday care routines. This add-on is designed to build confidence and reduce stress around grooming experiences.

Your dog will receive gentle, structured exposure to:

Bathing and being thoroughly dried
Standing calmly on a grooming table
Nail trims using clippers or a grinder
Brushing and basic handling around sensitive areas (ears, paws, tail)
